House Painters in Perth !
This Victorian Western Australian home was in much need of a repaint of it’s internal walls, exterior facades, delicate cornices and plaster ceiling finishes.
Our experienced house painters worked on the interior and exterior painting to bring the home back to it’s fresh and beautiful original state.
This house in Kensington has an old and a newer part. The job required the ceiling and wall painted, as well as the doors and timber windows to be repainted.
The old part of the house had high plaster glass ceilings which can be challenging for a painter when this is peeling or flaking. On this job, the plaster work was broken, so we spray painted and back rolled. This process put less pressure onto the broken parts, so we could restored the roof without further damage and saved the ceiling repair costs for our client.
For the wall painting in the old part of the house, we had to use thick roller sleeves to cover the original wall structure with a low sheen finish and in the new extended part of the house we could return to the smoother finish painting the walls with short nap roller.
The timber doors and windows were old and worn out, most of them cracked in the corners which required some gapping and filling. Preparation is the hearth of a painting job, if you don`t get it right you won`t have a nice finish. After scraping, filling and sanding we undercoated the timber with acrylic sealer undercoat and finished with high gloss enamel. It looks like new.
